Ann Palakovich, 99

July 14, 1926- September 27, 2025

Ann Palakovich, devoted wife and mother, passed away at her home on September 27, 2025. Born in Anaconda on July 14, 1926, she attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and after graduating from St. Peter’s High School she attended Butte Business School. Ann leaves behind her loving husband of 78 years, Frank, daughter Jo, sons Frank Jr. and Tom (Rose Ann). She also leaves four grandchildren, Mike Palakovich, Ed Palakovich (Pam), Hilary Cuddy (John), Chloe Nelson (Ty), and six great grandchildren Mattison, Matthew, Andrew, Jaxon, Sydney, and Xander, and many nephews and nieces.

A devout Catholic, Ann always put Family and God first. A gifted vocalist, she raised her voice in melodic prayer at countless funerals and weddings over the decades for the Anaconda Catholic Community. Now she is free to sing with the Angels. Starting in 1981, and continuing for over 30 years, Ann volunteered her services to Anaconda Hospice. She served first as a caregiver, and later she worked in the Hospice office, processing memorials, filing and preparing folders for nurses and patients. This trinity of Family, Church, and Hospice gifted her with a full, rewarding and rich life. A strong believer in the power of prayer, she blessed and guided her family and friends through difficult times with her commitment and strong Faith. She will be missed.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Valentine and Sophie Blaskovich, her son Ed, daughter-in law Bonnie Palakovich (Frank), son-in-law Levi Baker (Jo) and brothers John, Mirko, Carl and Frank.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass is planned for a later date, details to follow. The family requests donations in memory of Ann be made to Anaconda Catholic Community and/or Anaconda Pintler Hospice.
