We lost our beautiful, vivacious Jodi on January 15th.
Jodi Lyn Martin was born on April 18, 1972 to Craig Martin and Linda Frailey Martin.
She grew up in Lost Creek and graduated from Anaconda Senior High School in 1990. She went on to Virginia to work as a nanny. After several nanny jobs around Virginia and Silver Spring Maryland, she moved to Maine and spent a couple years living with her aunt and uncle, Ellen and Russ Bodeen while she worked the “fast food circuit. Her next move was to Boston where she lived for 25 years. While working as a nanny there she decided to attend Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island and earned a B.A. in nutrition in 2002. With that she accepted a temporary summer job in Hyannis Port as a live-in personal chef to Sargent and Eunice Shriver.
Her next position was temporary head chef at Tufts University in Boston. At the conclusion of that position she stayed on at Tufts as receptionist. Her duties included recruiting clients for various studies. Her God-given talent of communicating and connecting with people proved very useful and carried her through her next few jobs. At Mathworks Jodi recruited clients to test software for usability. Then to Constant Contact to recruit companies to use and improve their advertising techniques. Her final job in Boston was with Wayfair as Design Outreach Coordinator and Brand Ambassador. Among her duties, she coordinated projects for her team. One such project was to have her team work a day with Habitat for Humanity.
In 2019 Jodi .oved to Atlanta, Georgia. She worked a year at Burn Boot Camp as Operations Manager. Then she was offered a position as Sales Pro at Georgia Spa. She received New Salesman of the Year award along with a second trophy for their Million Dollar Club. That year she sold $1,667,803 worth of hot tubs and spas. The following year she received the award of Employee of the Year.
While doing all of these jobs in both Boston and Atlanta, she took on side jobs of catering and hosting karaoke, trivia, music bingo and DJ for numerous events
Jodi was very passionate about her fund raising and participation in the American Lung Association Fight for Air Climb. The team she organized in Boston named themselves The Social Climbers. They climbed One Boston Place. Conquering 41 floors, 82 flights, 789 steps. Jodi and her team did this from 2010 until her move to Atlanta.. Jodi’s Atlanta team dubbed themselves The Red Hot Chili Steppers. The first year they did 2000 steps up and down the lower bowl of Mercedes Benz Stadium. The following years through 2025 their venue was 191 Peachtree Tower to the tune of 51 floors, 102 flights, 1200 steps.
Jodi’s immense kindness, humor, loyalty and sense of adventure gained her more friends than can be counted.
Jodi is survived by her father Craig Martn in Geyser MT, mother Linda Frailey in Lost Creek, brother Travis Martin, sister’in-law Belinda Martin, nephews Logan Martin and Ian Martin all in Kalispell, beloved step mother Donna Martin in Great Falls aunts Ellen Bodeen in Wiscasset ME and Dianne Martin. She is also survived by many very loved cousins.
There will be a 2 part Celebration of Life for Jodi on June 27, 2026.
Due to her extreme love of karaoke we will honor her with karaoke at the Anaconda Elks Lodge 223. Main St from 12 noon to 3pm. Then please join us at a casual gathering in the cultural hall of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 1300 W Park Ave in Anaconda 4pm to 6pm to honor her memory in video, visiting, sharing stories, and celebrating the light she brought into our lives.
