Aidan Miller, Anaconda's first state HWT champ, signs with MSU-Northern

Anaconda's first-ever state champ in the heavyweight wrestling class will soon be heading to Havre where he'll wrestle for the Northern Lights of MSU-Northern.
Aidan Miller, joined by his family, his teammates and his coaches, inked his name onto his letter committing to the Northern Lights at a ceremony earlier this month at the Memorial Gym – fittingly under the solo light the Copperhead wrestling program uses to spotlight its matches.
Asked his feelings on signing with Northern, Miller summed it up in one word: "Excitement."
His head coach at AHS, Joe Casey, said he "couldn’t think of a better kid to compete at the college level."
"He worked hard, he's a great student, he has a ton of character, and I wish him all the best," Casey said.
"It’s overwhelming," Miller's dad, Jeramie, said. "I'm so proud of him."
Miller had a huge 2023-2024 season, racking up 36 wins to 4 losses on his way to winning the Montana Class B state wrestling championship in the HWT division. He finished his high school career with 110 wins – and no doubt will have many more under his belt at the collegiate level as well.
